Another treck out in search of wild orchids and success!! These are common spotted orchids - I think - lovely to see a clump of three. You would have laughed if you could see me holding Finlay's lead between my knees and him winding round and round my legs!! I try to combine dog walking and photography but it does have some problems!! LOL!!
My godson has just messaged me saying he thinks these are Heath Spotted Orchids and not Common spotted orchids - I bow to his knowledge!! LOL!!
Many thanks for your great comments on yesterday's shots - very much appreciated as always!!
Ahhhh...lovely!! How fun to find wild orchids. Didn't know there was such a thing. I have done the same thing so many times with Charlie...he's pretty patient with me MOST of the time!
Another beauty! It's so cool that you get to see these growing in the wild. If they grow in your area, I think they may also grow on Beaver Island so will check it out with those who know. They're really lovely.
Oh a Fave! We have tiny ones in orange and yellow, but they're almost garish compared to these delicate beauties! And what fun to hear "the story behind the picture" so we can imagine you're dedication to this site! You certainly did well!
And I laughed thinking about you multitasking with your little pooch! I too am usually toting a camera in one hand and the rest of life in the other!
