Still having fun with these baby starlings. They are so comical to watch as they have squabbles with their siblings. They are now able to feed themselves but still try to get the adult to give them some food. I loved the way these two just sat and looked at each other as if they were playing the staring game!!
What a great capture. Do you use a telephoto lens to get these guys? Birds are very challenging for me because they move so fast that I can't get a clear picture....
@jdowd Thanks Jennifer. yes I normally use my 100-400mm lens so that I can fill the shot with the bird. You do need to have your ISO high enough and also if you try using Al servo and multi shots - I have a Canon 5d mark 11 which only has 3 fps but it does help and you are more likely to get at least one shot in focus. I would normally use that for flight shots but these shots I have been taking in my garden I use AF with central focus point and you do get sharper focus. Hope this helps.
