Long Tailed Tit by phil_sandford

Long Tailed Tit

I adore these birds, they come in threes and fours, they flit around, always wary of the other birds, eat their fill and vanish as quickly as they came.

We've only had them in the gard for a year or so, must be putting out the right food.

I too have five of them that visit my garden, they're always together unlike other garden birds that chase each other away. Good shot.

Such a sweet capture. We have some titmouse birds, but I don't know if they are the same. I haven't seen any at our new house where we have lived the past 3-1/2 years. We don't see as many birds here. Sad.

They’re such sweet little birds. We get flocks of them in our new garden, we never had them before.
Thanks for your tip re sunflower seeds. Since we started putting them in the feeders we’ve attracted many more birds, in particular huge numbers of goldfinches and greenfinches.

@susiemc You’re very welcome. I put out the usual seed, sunflower hearts (goldfinches love those), black sunflower seeds, niger seeds, peanuts, peanut slabs and the fat balls. Put some apples out today for the Redwing, but he didn’t come today.
