We’ve had a ‘real’ tree in our front room, and we’ve used plain ‘white lights’ since our time living in Germany in the late 80s; everybody knows that the UKs modern day Christmas stems from Queen Victoria’s husband Albert and we’ve simply continued the German theme & traditions.
