Day 7: Yellow - my first puddle shoot with a dash of yellow
I read about this technique a couple of days ago on 365. We woke up this morning in our lovely B&B in Bath and it was raining. This is the first time on holiday that I've been excited to find rain! So after a hearty full English breakfast I headed into the street and found a very small puddle behind a parked car. I took about 7 shots and then heard a genteel voice enquiring "Are you alright?" So I reassured this lady that I was and explained what I was doing and showed her my pics on the camera. She immediately wanted to see the puddle. We were having a look at it when along came a gent with a briefcase and asked "Are you alright?" So he had a look at my pics too and off they then went together.
So here is some lovely typical Georgian architecture in Bath. (And I didn't fall in the puddle.)
A fascinating "Puddle shot" Love the reflection and the touch of yellow (also your story made me smile) Very well done Hazel. PS. I hope you have a nice break away.
What a lovely story, Hazel and a beautiful, atmospheric picture of Bath. I'm glad you didn't get 'A bath' in the puddle just 'Bath' in the puddle (sorry). Enjoy your holiday!

Thanks so much everyone for nice comments on the shot, good wishes and Wendy for the pun! It was such an apology for a puddle I was hardly in danger of getting wet but it would have been very undignified had I toppled backwards and sat down in a main street in Bath (as I did in the field with Jinks!)
