for May 25th in black and white

My dad also loved photography and many of his years' enjoyment of it were restricted to black and white so I have also processed this shot http://365project.org/quietpurplehaze/365/2014-05-25
for remembrance and for the current theme of b&w/ garden.

My last post from his diaries tells of his capture at Tobruk:

I love the B&W version as well.

Lovely in b&w but for once the colour has to be the winner purely for the story telling the celebration of being home, safe

Great contrasts for a black and white version and especially for your Dad I am sure he would have loved it.

I love this shot too, but I think the story deserves the colour version.

Thank you for the nice comments and the fav. I`m very pleased with all of them.
After a closer second look i`m gonna like the B+W version more and more. So many different tint`s of grey/black

@pyrrhula

I like the colour, but also the b&w too - perhaps because the dahlia has strong lines and shapes which translate well into black and white. Hope you've been having a good weekend, Ferry.
