pansies at Pegasus Bridge by quietpurplehaze

pansies at Pegasus Bridge

I loved the juxtaposition of these lovely pansies and the tank opposite at Pegasus Bridge when we visited there in 2010.

Agreed Hazel - it's hard to think about flowers and war tanks in one photo!

You have framed this so well with the tank in the back ground. You see, you have always had this gift for photography. By the way, is Jinks going on holiday with you, or will there be a major sulk going on;0)

@claireuk

Jinks is coming, along with our friends dog who is one year old so I am dubious how tolerant he will be, as an OAP, of a young dog!! Many thanks for your comment, Claire - any gift I had, has certainly been honed on 365!

War - Nature - civilization - everyday life. They are all in your image, Hazel. Fav.

Great shot. May the tank be a sign and tribute for ever.

I like the combination of the flowers and tank, but I am also struck by the people going about their daily business and just passing by the tank without noticing it. Very evocative.
