Launching a rowing shell from a fixed dock is a Goldilocks and the Three Bears kind of situation with the lake level:
» Too low: the boat scrapes on the underwater dock supports
» Too high: one has to wade into the water with the boat over one’s head
» “Mama Bear lake level” is just right!
The problem with wading into the water today is that it’s February: the water is cold!
