joker

"the dark knight"

going through some of my as yet unreviewed folders from numerous photo stints, i came across this photo from the wax museum in niagara falls in the beginning of july. it's a wax creation and i must tell you, this was the only one that looked so real.
Wow. Thanks for the nightmares, lol

cool shot ..Thailand has litrally thousands of roadside art studious where these artists paint a variety of scenes including anything you produce a photograph of...not one of these shops did not have a painting of the Joker.

i just saw this - we have been watching, for some unknown reason, batman movies and had a discussion last night about how heath played the joker better than jack. can't believe anyone can play anything better than jack, but he did and it is sad how he wasted his life in such a way. such a realistic capture.

@steeler - sorry, just saw this now, howard. and that was awesome! same thing back there in manila! thank you, howard.

@catsmeowb - somebody else played better than jack? he was the best joker! i never saw the movie where heath played joker. it's because the fun got lost somewhere from movies like batman or spiderman. these re-makes are more about technical stuff and dark stuff, feeding the distorted mind of the audience; they're supposed to be fun and have moral lessons to be learned by the young ones. look at that face, that is sinister. the joker from long ago was mean but in a funny way. oy, it's a different time, i suppose. thank you, camille.

i believe the new batman stays closer to the way he was created; he is a dark and troubled man who struggles. batman overcomes evil without using guns. he always uses his brain and technology and good always wins in the end. he never, ever picks up a gun. that is a powerful lesson in this day and age. in the comics, as he was created, i disagree. batman is not fun, nor are the evil-doers he fights against. the television made him a joke. each sequel has become more true to the 'real' batman. gone is the alfred who was a useless butler. now he is the technician who works side-by-side with his employer/friend and creates the masterpieces that allows batman to defeat the enemies of the city. these movies are not made for young children. they have ratings due to violent content - usually the explosions which can scare some children. many people see the costumes and assume such movies mean they are created for children. but i object to your phrase, "distorted mind of the audience" - what people watch does not distort the minds of people. it is what they believe BEFORE they begin to watch that has already distorted their thinking.

@ggg - i must admit i wasn't minding the shops. we just stopped and i sort of turned and this guy startled me. it looks so real when you see it. he's behind the glass so i felt safe and didn't chicken out.

you're right i should've asked the guy. i think that men would be a lot easier to ask rather than women. wouldn't you say so? thank you.
