until tonight i've been wondering why my toes hurt forever! wear 3-1/2-inch heels and that should do it. and to think i only wear this when i get called to the boardroom.
in the old country in my former life, i wore heels this tall 24/7. mainly because i am short and back then short and ugly didn't get hired to good positions. luckily, i possess some smarts so i had quite the advantage. but picture me running after a bus in a pair of heels like this, or at times, when there's typhoon or rush hour hanging on the door of an overcrowded bus; in mini-skirts to boot!
but they also served as a dangerous weapon. one of the division managers in my first job, a lawyer, asked me to be his mistress. for a rank-and-file employee, back then, it's a guaranteed way of keeping your job for forever and you get extra cash and other freebies. not to me! to me it was an insult, so i kicked him in the knee with my stiletto. the old bastard ended up in the clinic with a bleeding knee. he didn't tell anyone how he got it, but i did. for the complete story, read here: http://365project.org/summerfield/365/2011-10-04
Damn woman, I am about to crawl right through this screen and kick some sense into you and might do it if I see you refer to yourself as ugly again. Nobody talks about my friend that way.

@eniaral - i'd love to wear heels all the time. seriously, wearing high heels makes me aware of my posture and i do stand or walk properly when i wear them. but, sadly, old and high heels rarely ever go together anymore. thank you, laraine.
I am impressed! I can no longer wear heels- they just kill my arthritic knees! But I used to wear them and they made me feel pretty too. Love the processing on this shot as well as the shot itself!
