something i wish by summerfield

something i wish

to play the piano properly, that's one of my long-time wishes. one of these days i just might make that wish come true as i have been making inquiries about private piano lessons. but i would like to buy a piano first, maybe not a full scale but a 61-key kind of thingamajiggs that has buttons to press for playing other instruments.

this baby shown here is at the little cinema near the st. lawrence market. i always go there to listen to anyone who happens to be playing. see the full shot here:

thank you for your kind views and comments; i shall return the favour shortly.
I used to play piano and still love it. I don't have a piano to play on and sadly I don't have room for one in my home either- but I still love to listen to piano music on CD. I hope you get your lessons!

On a different note (hehe) I have been trying unsuccessfully to transfer my calender to the Flash of Red Finnishers discussion and can't seem to get the calendar view over there. I did take a photo of it on the computer screen but it doesn't really look that good. I'm leaving today's date in my second album blank for now- maybe I'll just print it out and scan it tomorrow!

Great perspective and focus Vikki. I took lessons for many years but don't play as much now, sadly.

Cool shot - like the vignetting. I took accordion lessons when I was a kid so I can play the piano with my right hand but I've never been able to learn how to use the left hand ;-)

@olivetreeann - i did a capture of your calendar. would you like me to post it in the discussion? i don't think i have your e-mail or i'd have sent it to you. i left you a comment in your album. thank you, ann.

@tara11 - thank you, tara. i'm sure one of these days the piano mojo will come back to you and then you won't have any problem re-learning how to play.

@helstor - the vignetting is from the cheap wide angle lens i used to capture the pianola. the room was too dark for the shot so i had to stay within a certain range but i wanted to capture the whole piano and the only way i could do it was to use the lens. when i zoom out, i get the vignetting. thank you, erik.
