great heavens! went to the market this afternoon and on the short walk from the subway station i noticed there were so many dogs. then half a block from the market building, the road was closed off for "woofstock"! i didn't want to walk to the next street as it would be another 2 blocks so i sucked it up and carefully treaded my way to the market. it was the longest walk ever, trying to dodge some playful canines. then as fates would have it, one, in its excitement, got itself tangled around me. oh, brother, i thought i was going to pee my pants. turned out it saw another from afar then dragged their masters when they ran towards each other. and all they did was to nuzzle their heads in each other's butt. yeah, yeah, romantic, but the owner took his sweet time in untangling his mutt from my waistline. he could see i was not amused.
this i saw after getting freed from the frenzy. i started to take a pic but the dog sat down on the pavement and scratched its ears. the owner (guy in green shirt) apologized and yanked the little one's leash and it promptly stood up. other kids saw this and found it funny they started to laugh.
after the market i took the long route to the subway and encountered only a token dog or two. whew!
@maggiemae - no, didn't step on anything soft or smelly. but i have a big fear of dogs, doesn't matter how puny or how big. when i was about 6 oor 7 i was mauled twice by my uncle's german shepherd that's why my phobia. thankfully i didn't have any nightmares last night. the sleeping pill helpedd. :-) thank you, maggiemae.
Oh this is so classic! Love your story and glad to hear you braved walking through all the dogs and could still take such a cool shot despite your ordeal!
