margarita is a tequila-based cocktail. with cracked ice on the glass part of the shaker, add one ounce of tequila, two and a half quarter ounces of lime juice, shake six times and strain onto a bowl champagne glass, decorate with lemon cartwheels.
the popularity of tequila was greatly encouraged by the creation of the 'margarita' cocktail in hollywood, california in the late 1950's. it should be tasted through the salt rim. if the original recipe is too sour, triple sec can be added to sweeten the cocktail.
i was going to introduce you to harvey wallbanger but we ran out of orange juice. maybe someday.
i never had a margarita in my whole life, even when i was in hospitality school, i never tasted what i would make. i don't like the taste of tequila. i got an A+ in our exam because this was the random assignment i got. but now i think i need more practice, the work on that salt rim is very sloppy.
partner's patiently waiting for the caesar and been wondering when i shall have it done. patience, my grasshopper.

for my get pushed challenge, my partner this week, julie @julieco challenged me to " either (1) making a still image that includes 5 items with an interesting POV and/or lighting or (2) a food image which could be suitable as an illustration in a cookery book or advert in a magazine."
Believe it or not, I have had a margarita and thought it was pretty good. But not being a drinker, I've never had another. It's an excellent shot though- and could easily appear in one of those food magazines.
tequila is not a drink... it's a drug... that stuff is deadly... but the drink is gorgeous and your shot of it is awesome! and i do so love me a margarita every now and then... just gotta remember to stop at 1!!! ;p
