it is cold and miserable and worst, I-C-Y! the apartment is quite warm and the pictorial for this bloody caesar took longer which resulted in the cracked ice in the glass to melt fast. i did a bloody good work on the salt rimming of the glass.
bloody caesar is the cousin of the equally famous bloody mary, the difference is the former uses clamato juice, a tomato juice cocktail with clam juice, while the latter uses tomato juice. also the caesar requires stronger spicing of the ice. bloodies are to be served in a high ball glass. the bloody Caesar is a Canadian cocktail and was created to showcase the light. distinctive taste of the clamato juice.
wet the rim of the glass with lemon then salt the glass using celery salt. put cracked ice to about one-half of the glass. it is important to put the spices: salt, pepper, tabasco and Worcestershire sauce on the ice first - this is known as 'spicing the ice". after that, build the drink as follows: one and a quarter ounces of vodka, then filling the glass with clamato juice. decorate with a swizzle stick and a young stalk of the celery.

thank you for all your kind visits and comments; know that they are truly appreciated.
@bobfoto - this is sitting in the counter in the kitchen now. alone, forlorn as nobody will be drinking it. i hate tomato juice and more so clamato juice. to me these bloodies have a terrible terrible taste. you don't want it. :-) thank you, Jason.
gorgeously shot! why on earth did you make it if you weren't going to drink it? you didn't waste the vodka, did you???? do you have power today? we do, and keeping my fingers crossed that it stays... just to the north of us, where the stores we shop at are, they are all out of power... even our local hockey arena is without power and the afternoon game for my oldest son in a tourney he is playing in up in north york has been cancelled due to the weather... yikes!
@northy - bloodies taste like crap. i don't know why, and partner also, i have to make them with real stuff if I just have to shoot it. I know in real photoshoots, they don't use real stuff, but to me that's cheating. :-) today i'll make one I can actually and will drink.
yes we do have power and also hope it stays that way. worried about those wires though so i make sure we have basic supplies - like camera batteries fully charged as well as tablet and laptop. hell, my priorities suck! :-)
@summerfield my priorities are mucked up too... first thing i did this morning was go outside with the camera ;p the light sucks tho, and it's not my kind of photography... sigh...
@northy -hahaha! i woke up when I heard a loud noise outside my bedroom window. i got up to see what was happening and saw through the kitchen window that a large branch of the tree out back has fallen with parts of it in the parking lot next door. got dressed quickly and got out the door with camera and tripod. took pics of the cars in parking lot with the branches over them no damage though. i efen salted the front door and sidewalk but that's so i won't slip :-) one error, forgot to take my keys. bahahaha! good thing the old man woke up before I froze my arse off.
@northy -been wanting to go and take picks of frozen tree branches, forgot about the tree out back until this morning, now i have a small one sitting in my sink, all icyand frozen.
