well, after a week of ice and snow, now i give you fire!
partner had been hounding me about not preparing anything special anymore for the holidays. that it's always photography, photography and more photography. i looked around the kitchen and saw three bananas that were starting to turn brown. so i decided to make banana flambé for our dessert. and whilst i was making it, i was taking photographs of course!
how to make it? peel bananas, cut in half, lengthwise. fry in melted butter. sprinkle brown sugar over banana before turning over to fry the other side. when the bananas have turned brown, pour some whisky on it and ignite. turn pan side to side to evenly distribute the flaming liquid on the bananas. best served with toasted almond slices. vanilla ice cream is optional. okay, make it mandatory.
