les fenêtres

many of them, all fifty-one floors of 1 king street west in downtown toronto's financial district. it is a hotel and condominium and an office tower. the original building was only twelve floors built in 1914 and has been designated one of toronto's heritage building. the tower was added to comprise a total of 51 floors which was completed in 2006. one of the priciest in toronto.

for the friday f-word challenge, the word being "fenestral"
The lower portion is very art deco in design. I like the processing, it gives a cool vintage feel.

Toronto is HUGE! As is this building... it has a green look here - maybe and hopefully it is green?

@salza - the first two floors i've seen and the basement are of the original building. in the basement they have a HUGE safe, the door alone is two one and a half times the stretch of my arms. it used to be a bank's vault as the building was originally built for one of canada's pioneer banks. the photo looks vintage only because of the colour of my buiding's windows. thank you, sally.

@maggiemae - it is actually white or off white. the colour is greenish because the windows of our office building is glazed with 24-karat film. i had to use a polarizer in my lens to remove the colour cast. thank you, maggiemae.

@cocobella - thank you, corinne.

@overalvandaan - 51 in all. thank you, saxa.

@grammyn - :-) thank you, katy. actually from my boss' office, this is the only composition i could manage.

@nanderson - F-lattered! thank you, nancy.
