this is the original of my mad hatters' posting today. the photo on the right is part of lou's, the tuesday poster. i took a shot of the croc toy grabber and photoshopped it using layers - yeah, sometimes it amazes me what i can do when i desperately want it. now i go back to do it again and i couldn't for the life of me remember what to do! :-)
big issue on the baseball, which is a regulation ball. partner caught it a long time ago at a blue jays game when they used to be in contention for the playoffs (now they're not!). i got a display case for that sucker and heavens forbid me if i had bruised that thing a tad bit. technically, the ball is mine because i paid for the tickets that took him to the game, and the ball actually hit me on the thigh when it landed on the seats before partner grabbed it. he saw the picture of the left and thought it was "his" baseball. dear, you're not the only one who owns a baseball you know!
the toy grabber i found on top of the fridge when i was looking for something, the same day i found the jeweller's magnifying glasses last week. i bought it in florida for little darren. i'm hiding that from young jack whenever he comes here as he tends to be destructo most of the time.
the hardest part was to let go of the ball and catch it in action using self-timer. and to not throw it as hard as to hit anything, like the china cabinet. or the camera itself. and for some reason, i cannot throw a knuckle ball with my right hand, only the left hand could do it. that's why i'm holding the toy grabber instead of a catching mitt because all the mitts in this house, five of them, are all for right handed catchers.
Nicely done. Love the baseball story. My baseball story didn't end as well as the one time I had a chance to catch a major league ball it went in and out of hands and the guy in front got it and the guy behind me was mad at me for interfering with him
Good catch!
