one of those names that start with a W. methinks i am more elderly than this gentleman as i have completely forgotten his name.
at the st james catherdral park, i saw him looking at me with an amused look as i tried to take a photo of the birds bathing in the fountain and the bloody pigeons kept flying in and out and a couple of times they almost hit me. he said, "take a picture of me instead, why don't you?" well, i am not one anymore to back out on invites like that so i said, "much obliged." and he smiled. i asked him how old he is and he said he is younger than the queen by about a few years. i doubt he is older than 70 but if he is, i think he looks fantastic and i'd probably attribute it to his smiling looks. i asked if he wanted a print of his photo and he nodded his head saying "i'd like that, but you don't have to." he asked to see the photo on the camera and he gave a satisfied nod.
for week 43 of the 52-week challenge, we are to take a portrait of the elderly. i only know of one elderly readily available for a photo, that's me, so i had quite a hard time getting someone to pose for me. but thanks to walter, or wayne. keep smiling wayne.
