"the wide world is all about you; you can fence yourselves in, but you cannot forever fence it out." - J.R.R. Tolkien
today started out nice, weather-wise. but in the afternoon it just got crappy. crappy as in smoggy, hazy and well, crappy. the sun came out but, alas! i've gone home and did my laundry. photographers need clean clothes, too. :-)
i like the perspective of this photograph and that is why i want to share it with you. taken from 6 kilometres from the southeast again (i should go out west but i need to find me a wingman again. not that i can't go by myself, but just in case i'd fall off some deep ravine, i want someone i know to rescue my camera!). i had to re-size the pic as it came out more than 5MB. horrors!
did i find the most fitting quote for this photo or what?
through a fence -- cool!!! I think all your pictures of the tower could be a Dr. Suess book. "Do you like it behind a fence? Do you like it in the yard? Do you like it in the fog? Do you like it by the dog?"
@meggageg - thanks, meagan. @cscecil - wow, CS, that's so sweet. you know, i have sporadically written a story for my two little grandsons, but children's stories should be accompanied by drawings, and, i cannot draw - the only one in the family who can't, would you believe it? and now you just gave me an idea! photographs! why didn't i think about it before? thanks again, CS. i knew coming to 365 would fire up my muse!
@silverdraggin - thanks, meiska. whenever i see new people commenting on my photo, i check out their albums. so i went to see yours then i checked out your faves to see what kind of photos you like. i was quite surprised when i saw that one of them was yesterday's photograph. i make it a point to acknowledge when anyone favs my photos, i think it's the right thing to do. i also make it a point to thank everyone for their comments, despite the opinions expressed by some in the discussion boards. but that's me. again thank you.
Oh my in that case you'll notice I like all kinds of things. Sometimes I save the photograph for the description or because it's funny. The true story is I love water and -scapes the most. Land, sky, water, city scapes you name it. I do appreciate you stopping by for a bit and I know what you mean about posts mentioning the thanks and all. I don't mind it, it always gives me a chance to come look at the photo again! I'll not spam your comments here again. I'll wait until tomorrows photo :)
