had bloodworks done early this morning. then, before going back home to have breakfast, i passed by the 'parkette' near the danforth viaduct where they have a small garden. there were lots of flowers which were mostly in their last stages so i took a lot of photographs of flowers. heaven knows i have only the slightest idea what i would do with them, although they're quite decent. fillers, maybe?
amongst the many flowers, i espied these daisies (they look like daisy to me, and actually there were four of them but it got hidden by their own leaf) and they were the only one of their kind. i love the way their petals curl around.
sooc but for the name tag.
(here's to you @meggageg cheerios!)
@roth - why, thank you! would you believe, i was writing since this afternoon, and my first sentence had the word 'windswept' in it and i used the word two times more. three thousand five hundred words and three of them was 'windswept'. nice!
good morning, everyone! @pamfromcalgary - thanks, pam. @roth - sue, you are so punny and funny, too! @danig - thanks, DG. i know, gearing up for NaNoWriMo! yay! @steeler - thanks, howard. @altadc - thanks, alts.
@jobesekama - thank you, beth. i was thinking i should bring with me a small mist sprayer. but maybe i should just wake up early and catch the early morning dew.
@catsmeowb - thank you, camille. the bloodwork was for a regular check up which i've been postponing for weeks and weeks now. my naturopath doctor put me on a cholesterol therapy because my regular physician threatened to put me on some medication if my cholesterol is still high. so hopefully i can make the doc happy and she will leave me alone. i hate taking medications!
interesting that you hate taking medications (so do I !!) -- and you took a picture of what turns out to be "echinacea" --which is a natural herb and remedy!! I do love the petals, the windswept look, the uniqueness, the variation on the daisy -- it's a beautiful photo!!
@summerfield oh, good luck. i walked and followed the diet plan - mine was 347! yikes!!!!! my doc was convinced i was going to have a stroke. i love eggs and that was sooooo hard to not have them. i don't use any dairy except ice cream and had already given it up. seems it runs in families. finally took the med but it took a bit to find one that worked - some can cause damage to the liver. one ruined my father's. he was a real health nut, exercises all the time and was a bike racer and runner for years. we ground our own flour as kids, baked our own bread, made cereal. still, high levels. never know, i guess. what will be, will be.
@cscecil - we are kindred spirits, aren't we? thanks, CS. @deens - thank you, nadine. much appreciated. @catsmeowb - i gave up on diets a long time ago. that's only for the young :-) i'm otherwise very healthy so i'm not really concerned. and as you said, what will be, will be.
