One of those occasions when I really wished I had a better camera. This is not a good photo and please don't feel obliged to comment. I really posted it for my benefit, part of my record. I've only ever seen a linnet a handful of times in my life and only the second time here in the garden. It was quite a long way off and it didn't stay around for long.
I'm sure you would have liked it closer with more detail in the bird but it's still nice to have a record of such a rare visitor. Who knows, now that it's been there once it might be back.
@gijsje No I didn't bep. What an interesting connection. It's funny that it's called the 'common' linnet when I think about how few I've seen in my life.
