A Rare Sight

Starlings used to be very common but sadly their numbers have plummeted in the last 20 years or so.
We rarely see them in the garden but there must be a some around on the farmland because a few come onto the feeders when it's very cold and frosty or when the ground is covered in snow.
lovely capture of this one - less and less of so many animals every year :(

A lovely capture - such beautiful markings, but like you I see so few coming to our garden over the past few years! --fav

Lovely capture. We get quite a few. They are quite bullying on the feeders!

They are handsome with their spotted breasts. This one looks like a serious bird.

This one looks a little grumpy, but its markings are beautiful. A nice shot, Sue! fav
