Martha spotted this heron as we were walking by the lake at Sissinghurst. I wouldn't have seen it if she hadn't pointed it out but then I looked through my camera and there it was. I"m having my eye op next Tuesday so hopefully my bird spotting will improve after that.
I think this heron is a young one because of the markings on it's neck.
