This discussion chain is to highlight the work of someone else and show a photo that you marked as +FAV (on the top of the screen) this week. Having people FAV your photo lets you know that what you did really connected with other photographers and for the new members, it really helps get that photo to the popular page. We do this post every week and it is a great way to see work you might of missed or find someone new to follow.
So find a fav from this week and include their user name and why you connected with this photo. Please don't forget to CREDIT their photo with the username!
There are two easy ways to add pictures on to the discussion.
The first is a full size photo: 1) Click on your favorite photo and bring up its page. 2)Look at the right side of your monitor, and go to the word SHARE (it is below tags) 3) go to the box and copy the long address 4) Come back to the discussion, and then paste. 5) If it is not your photo also tag the person who it belongs to so they know you love it (@name) remember no punctuation on either side of the @and name.
The second is to have a smaller file size so to keep the site from getting overwhelmed. http://365project.org/discuss/general/1323/how-to-adding-an-image-in-a-discussion.
Difficult to choose only one this week, but I have chosen this magnificent capture by @rvwalker - the sunlight coming through the swan's wings is simply magnificent:
This one by Katrin (@bluesteel44). My favorite FAV more times than not involves a cat. This one is so dignified and wise, and I like the "blown out" window between the soft cat and the spiky cactus. There is a story here. :)
I'm going with this one from @emjay8 - not only for the wonderful image she produced, but also because of the perserverance she put into getting the shot she wanted. I could take a lesson or two from that:)
@naturalbeauty
I love the way she captured the spiral, and the way she handled the extremes of contrast in the central spoke. The way her composition pulls us in a spiral through the image and then holds us firmly in place at the peak is wonderfully done. Being partial to black and white as I am, I absolutely loved this shot.
since I used one my own b&w shots for the b&w thread, I'm going with this shot from @northy for my favorite fav of someone else. I think this is not only her best shot so far, I think this is one of the best images on 365 - period.
@shirljess Thanks so much! I have been having some lovely e-mail correspondence and he sent me some photos. I don't have much for him yet but I haven't tried my 'best chances' yet as I haven't seen them.
@lyno Thank you so much Lyn, for faving this picture. I feel very honored and grateful. I must admit I was very lucky with this shot, just catching the last few minutes of the sun, and its glow on the buildings.
I've looked at this photo (and her other snowflakes) over and over, trying to figure out how I could replicate such beautiful photography. Lynn has been generous enough to describe the process to me, and giving me feedback, Now I have to wait for snow again, but remember to buy black velvet at a fabric shop prior to that next snow. Thanks, @lyno !
this is a bit out of date, but i only saw and faved it this week... by @janim - love the pov, the contrast, the dark and the golden tones... and the wonderful ghostly figure :)
@jyokota@deburahiru Deb and Junko, thanks so much for liking my snowflake. . .I really appreciate your interest in this shot. I think it's going to be one of my favorites!
@tigerdreamer@terryvet92 thank you Karen and Terry!!! You know you had a great week when not just one, but two different shots end up on this thread. You two made my day!
I am doing the Flash of Red February challenge so am really noticing b&w shots. I love this one by @andysg - the composition, the b&w and the subject are all fantastic.
@stevieinwonderland Thank you Stevie for putting my shot forward, I'm really touched that you took the time and appreciated the photo.
It has made all my efforts worthwhile :-D
