Post your favorite photo of your own project from this past week to share with those that may not otherwise see it. Lets also put WHY or WHAT about it you like.
There were some really great photographs last week. It is fun to see what you like of your posts as it is not always what everyone else chooses.
There are two easy ways to add pictures on to the discussion.
The first is a full size photo: 1) Click on your favorite photo and bring up its page. 2)Look at the right side of your monitor, and go to the word SHARE (it is below tags) 3) go to the box and copy the long address 4) Come back to the discussion, and then paste.
The second is to have a smaller file size so to keep the site from getting overwhelmed. http://365project.org/discuss/general/1323/how-to-adding-an-image-in-a-discussion.
This one because I have just started shooting RAW....I know, should have been doing that for ages. Was amazed with all the detail picked up and how I was able to see the landscape as well as the light trails.
This one, because i've tried to photograph smoke many times and i failed, and now i finally did a good picture. I had also a lot of fun fun with the editing.
because it was one of those "What the hell am I going to take a photo of today" things, and came out much better than I expected. I have another where the composition is better (the problem with lenses is that they're round, and tend to roll about unless attached to something!), but is not as well focused.
Besides, I'm looking forward to getting out and taking some "proper" photos.
I wish I had composed this slightly differently in hindsight, but overall, I just loved this one. The colors, the bluebonnets, the little bee, and my best girl.
Because it's not my normal subject matter, and I managed to get my composition right in camera, no cropping required, just a slight exposure and contrast tweak.
I had a couple of fun abstracts that I was pleased with, but I like this one the best because it wasn't the same old same olc flower shot. I stepped outside the box and it turned out well.
this was very hard for me this week because it was a great week. I've loved everything I posted in this timeframe. But I think I'm going with this one because I just love old cars and came upon this by accident by making a wrong turn
@megmills I like the pink carnation the best this week. I saw many beautiful soft pink ones in the past and wanted to get the exact color. This is it for me! I love the ruffles of the carnation, too.
I tried a slow shutter zoom and was quite surprised when this was the result. I thought it was interesting and a little different. I really like all the lines.
I know, sad. I almost didn't post this photo because I felt bad for the little guy. But, I think this will probably be the best photo I'll ever get of a bee. I just love how clear it was and how well you can see all the pollen around his eyes.
I did this for the low key technique challenge. It isn't the best low key but it's the first one I've done and I was happy that it came out like I wanted. Isn't that really the first step
My fav is this working bee. I was so happy to see it in the blossoms and then I was able to successfully use a shaped crop tool to display it artistically. And it made it to the PP page which was a thrill and then some.
Let's go with this shot of a cowboy in Fort Worth, Texas. I was originally annoyed by the two huge beer trucks parked on the street but I now find the very modern background interesting.
This for me - because despite having many photos of Hastings I have very few of my camera shy husband. The two of them are inseparable and I think I really managed to capture this connection in the shot.
I like this one the best because it worked out great considering I was shooting in monochrome. I was just so happy to stumble upon this street that looked like it was frozen in time... or taken out of a criminal novel in the 60s.
I almost got blown off my feet making this one, but it was worth it. Although I couldn't catch the storm in my shots, I did love the outcome, it gave me that weird feeling I sometimes get when I look at other people's great shots:
What I like about this shot is the "true-ness" of the experience as it relates to the attractiveness of this site for me: It was a beautiful moment with a wonderful person that I had the good sense to capture for when my memory eventually fails, Knowing that I had to take a picture, I suggested going to the Beach ... in March .... in New England. This idea does not happen without this project :); @danielwsc (someone you should check out 'cause he's really good) made a great suggestion in a comment so I learned something great from someone I would have never met otherwise. Thank you 365!
I like this macro with the sharp toothbrush and the vague Snow -white. It was for the challenge 'beauty is in the eye of the beholder'. How interesting a toothbrush with backlight can become ;-)
This has to be mine... The Duke University Blue Devil mascot at the NCAA Sweet 16 Basketball game vs Michigan State. Michigan State's coach is Tom Izzo just for reference.
I like this photo because we almost didn't get to the location in time to take a shot. I am also just getting into HDR photography and the different effects you can have, some of my HDR photos have been much more subtle. It has made me want to purchase a full version of the software. I also like my POV, the leading line and not being able to see where the jetty ends, the clouds, the textures of the wood and the dramatic feel to the photo.
For the laughter of the season

accidentally over exposed this picture....but i loved how it came out
This one, for my get pushed challenge, because I've always found big sweeping landscapes a personal challenge.
This was the 29th & one of those you see before you take how lovely it SHOULD be & yays it came out how i wanted. lol it does not always
Just a blue, clean summer sky ... and a few days later - it's grey and miserable. I'm posting this in remembrance ;)
I think its funny:
This one is a bit of a change for me - the first portrait of my project.
I had a couple of fun abstracts that I was pleased with, but I like this one the best because it wasn't the same old same olc flower shot. I stepped outside the box and it turned out well.
This is my favourite photograph, not because it is particularly special but because it shows how far I have come with using Photoshop!
I really like the negative space.
this one because it was fun to do :)
I like the simplicity of this one.
I've wanted to try this for some time. I really enjoyed the experience and shot another round today capturing a picture of a yorkie in the droplet!
Loved snuggling this little sweetheart! He was too cute! 29 Mar 2013
because this is what i've always wanted to try and i'm happy with the result.
As it made my day, especially when I read comments, thank you all on 365 such a friendly place and I'm loving it!
I like the vista, framing of the trees and the reflection in this one.
I wasn't exactly excited about any of my shots this last week, but as this is one of my favourite things I have picked this one.
I like this macro with the sharp toothbrush and the vague Snow -white. It was for the challenge 'beauty is in the eye of the beholder'. How interesting a toothbrush with backlight can become ;-)
simply **********":)
Hard time picking this week. I do like how the raindrop is about to fall off the flower in this one though.
