Tonight's dinner - chilli in wraps with guacamole, nachos etc - organised by L and put together by a gaggle of helpers.
Worked a half day at home before struggling across north London on a couple of buses - didn't want to risk the overground which was running a reduced service because of the train strike.
Was busting for a wee by the time I got to Dave's work and unfortunately some caretakers were hovering by the entrance and insisted I go all the way to reception to sign in rather than let me nip up to the loos by Dave's HQ.
Eventually got going and had a miraculously trouble-free journey of just over 3 hours to Somerset. The last part was a touch scary though as it was dark and the roads were narrow and windy.
We were the first to arrive - time enough to stow our stuff away and make a cup of tea. Once Anna and the HMs had arrived, prepared and ate dinner and relaxed in the living room with chocolate cake and cheese.
Weather incredibly windy and blowing round the house.
3 good things
1. Easy drive west.
2. Roomy comfy Airbnb.
3. A Friday night with nothing to do but relax.

Looks nice! I have to say I'm getting rather tired of the strikes. It would be nice to jump on a train for a day out, but sadly it's not been possible for a while now.
