The view from another bridge just round the corner from yesterday's image. How very pretty to have this running past your front door - as long as it doesn't flood.
B&B bed wasn't as uncomfortable as it had looked but it did get coldish in the night. Nice veggie breakfast before a day of workshops with Pascal from Naragonia - playing a simple tune in different rhythms and doing interesting bass end stuff. We were - oddly - in the carriage of an old railway train on site.
Popped out at lunchtime and into a few shops. Tried on waterproof jackets in one of them but didn't find anything suitable (hips too big). And found a good lunch spot - the Wensleydale Pantry for a jacket with cheese.
A mini workshop to end the classes on the Dartmoor tradition before meeting Sue (the woman I'd been sat next to at the Wensleydale Creamery yesterday) for sit-down fish and chips in the chippie.
Concert with the tutors in the evening - a lot of impressive musicians and as always good to sit at the front and watch. Session after in the Fountain although we weren't allowed into the back room and had to squeeze into the front bar with a lot of bemused and sozzled locals. Phoned Dave to see how he'd got on at the Leveret concert. Sian messaged to say she'd given Andy C a thank you card for their wedding tune and message.
3 good things
1. The countryside of the dales, simply stunning backdrop to our activities here.
2. A chip butty on proper white sliced bread.
3. Truly gruesome weather the first half of the day with persistent rain but the sun finally came out much later which was a tonic.
