The Ink Black Heart

The latest Cormoran Strike novel and what a monster - 100s of pages long. I'm sure it could have been edited down and the narrative being interspersed with multiple forum message conversations and Twitter posts, it was sometimes hard to keep track of what was what and who was who. A relatively unputdownable read nonetheless - a murder mystery in the context of today's challenges of trolling, so-called 'cancel culture' and identity politics.

Oh I’m glad it wasn’t just me, I felt exactly the same. I had to keep flipping back to check who was in what conversation.
I’m hoping the next one willl be in a regular format.

I do love this series, but this one was a challenge to read. Had trouble keeping track of the characters and their online screen names. Took me forever to read!
