Something which has bothered me for a long time is the impossibility of correcting typos or misspellings noticed after posting a comment.
I usually deal with it by copying my comment, correcting the mistake and then deleting the original comment after reposting the corrected version. For me it would be good if it was possible to just correct after posting and I would like to ask Ross @scrivna if this could be a possibility.
@quietpurplehaze I know what you mean Hazel - I am forever making some sort of mistake hahaha - an edit rather than doing what you do - which I do too - would be awesome :)
@quietpurplehaze Great point Hazel, it’s so easy what with predictive text & just general typing místakes, I many a time leave my mistakes because if I write a lot it’s too time consuming to delete & re write ....just hoping folk can still understand the gist! To correct after posting would be just awesome!
Absolutely! I just told someone it would be Lad Vegas next......should have been Las, of course.......Lad Vegas sounds distinctly dodgy LOL!! An edit comment button would be fabulous :)
@quietpurplehaze Yes it offends my soul to leave a silly mistake so then I do delete but mostly I leave the mistakes in regardless. I just had to edit my original comment as I had put prescriptive!!
Great suggestion Hazel. I usually do the copy, paste, correct and delete too because I don't like leaving comments with typos and some of the predictive text changes are ridiculous, especially changing dof to dog!

I am really wishing I had brought this to Ross's @scrivna attention sooner rather than later. The new layout really prompted me! (And the fact that I now also post on Flickr where this facility is available.)
Yes, it is a nice 'clean' looking 365 to start 2019. You are more tolerant than me as I get 'frustrated' when I've just posted a comment and see a mistake!
Fabulous that you brought this up Hazel, I mentioned some time back that there should be an edit possibility! I do not have much time for commenting, so when I have typo's and mistakes, I just used to delete the comment. Please, an edit button!
I agree, Hazel. An edit ability would be wonderful. I use my pad a lot for reviewing photos and it really likes to make up it's own words, which of course I don't notice until I have already posted it. I correct it if it's really bad, but must admit to leaving some of the typo mistakes because I'm too lazy to change it.
I like the new look too @Scrivna and thank you for all you do with this wonderful site! I was a bit surprised when I opened up for the first time and did a bit of a double take - having had a few attempts at scams recently :). Thank you for raising @quietpurplehaze I do exactly the same as you currently so an edit button or similar would be great.
Me too. Ditto to Hazel's suggestion. I do the same as her, but would be great to be able to edit. We can edit additions to discussion threads, but not comments on a posted photo.
@Scrivna Ross I like the new look too but have just noticed that the Notification button does not seem to work. I knew I had new comments but it remains blank/doesn't work.

Yes it is a bit offputting. Sometimes I write more than others and just hate leaving stuff with mistakes in.
When I catch a typo I like to delete the comment and retype it!!
I have also done that - could be rather impolite if not corrected - to say the least!

I confess I never use predictive text. My iPad 'doing its own thing' is plenty annoying for me!
