THE THEME FOR June will be....Lighting, – Mood or atmosphere given from the lighting
This is NOT a theme of lights but instead the lighting itself.
It can be from an artificial light source such as a flash or flash photography
It can be from the sun such as sunrays.
Lighting from the morning sunrise on the beach or a couple walking hand in hand during the sunset glow
It can be even involve shadows cast from the lighting as long as the subject is about the lighting rather than the shadows.
It is about the feeling from the lighting and how the lighting impacts the image.
Here are just a few examples of photos that use lighting to enhance the image:
Northy is a master at using lighting to create a mood in her black & white photography
Julia ha many examples of using the sun rays to create gorgeous photos
I love to use lighting to create different moods in portraits. This is one photo using only one flash light source
HOW TO ENTER June’s theme challenge:
When uploading your photos use the tag section (on the edit/organize screen), insert this week's theme tag: "theme-June2024"
ENTRY GUILDLINES:
Photos must be your own and must have been taken and uploaded between (and including) Saturday, June 1st and Sunday, June 30th . 6 finalists will be chosen for a vote in July..
If you come across someone else’s photo that you like and it fits the monthly theme please encourage them to tag their photo for the monthly theme.

What a difficult choice. There were several outstanding photos that were not included in the finalists that I loved. When choosing the final 6 considered how important was the water to make the photo.. I am not the only one selecting the final 6. John Burzynski selects his top 6 and I pick my favorites for the theme and them we decide the final contenders for voting.
To cast your vote, just reply to this post and select the number (in digit form) of the photo you would like to see win, before the end of day June 15th. We’ll announce the winner in a separate post shortly after! Be sure to view each entry full screen.
