24th April 2023

Our final visit (well we had thought that was last weeks visit) to see Colin’s genealogist in Ashstead near Epsom. We were one collecting a couple of charts that we could not trust to be delivered by post and enjoy a cup of tea and chat before we left for our usual stop at Chessington Garden Centre fo a scone before we drove home. It was here that I spotted todays composition of decorations to celebrate the upcoming Coronation of the King on the 6th of May.

The sunshine disappeared to be replaced with torrential rain in the late afternoon which made for ‘interesting’ driving over to St Luke’s for the ‘in person’ Committee meeting this evening. The road was flooded in a lot of places. The meeting finished close to ten so fairly good timing and I tried to keep my head down to avoid any more jobs coming my way!
