I like this one. I loved the art on the old Wall chunks. When we visited Berlin, the last time Hubby had been there was when it was still up and he found it intensely moving to be able to walk through the Brandenburg Gate and Checkpoint Charlie. Previously, he went through the Checkpoint on his motorbike with all the rigmarole passing through there involved. Amazing change to the city now.
The Berlin Wall, was an ever changing art form, well the western side anyway. The eastern side was pristine white - all the better to show up escapers. There is an escape museum near to the original Check Point Charlie , which is fascinating & show cases the determination & ingenuity of some of those escapees.
No better repurpose than to an art gallery! I think it would be very moving to visit there. But the history of this place should be revisited more often. We're not a far cry from something like this happening again. Good shot!
