We only saw a few whales and they were quite close to the rocks.
From Boat Harbour we went to Birubi and had a walk along the beach there. I will post photos from Birubi over the next few days.
Sorry I have been a bit absent but since finishing scanning and editing my family photos I have been busy putting them in order ready to put them in the photobook. I think that project will keep me busy for a while.
@happypat We saw a few whales but I didn't take any photos. None were breaching, they were just swimming by in pods of about 2 or 4. Here are some photos taken at this spot last year though.
@olivetreeann Great photos, it is always nice to be able to see people from the past. Do you have the photos in a photobook?
@cupofteajudy Indeed, I love watching the ocean whatever the weather. Our side of the bay is very sheltered but on this side the ocean gets quite ferocious at times.
@pusspup Yes we saw some whales but none were breaching, they were just swimming by blowing out snot at various intervals ha ha
@pcoulson We did see whales but this shot is just by the parking area and we climbed the cliffs to get a better look at the whales.
@sangwann I didn't take any photos of the whales because they weren't performing too well, no breaching or tail slapping this time. I was just happy to watch them.
@onewing I have some that are in a photo scrapbook I made for my father. Most of them are loose though. I would like to get them in an album someday. I want to do something like an old photo album where they pictures are held in by photo corners. Some of them have writing on the back from my grandmother and Aunt (the little girl with the blond curls) who kept track of who was who. Whenever I look at the pictures I love seeing the writing too- as if it's a connection to the person who wrote the note and cared about the different "branches" of our family tree.
