11th May Carpet of Bluebells

Definitely not BBQ weather which was the Topic of the Day so we went out in search of bluebells instead. This is Ashridge Woods and there is a carpet of bluebells all just about to open. The perfume was wonderful - I wish this was smelly vision!! Taken with my iPhone which gave me better shots than my Lumix! If the weather gets a bit warmer in the next few days I will go back with my SLR. 131/365

I love the different layers of color - the intense "new" green of the tree foliage, the softer deeper green of the bluebell leaves and the soft blue/purple of the luscious carpet.
