German this week & one of our group has a food allergy so another member made this cake for the tea break - with gluten/wheat free flour and soya milk and sunflower oil. It was delicious. She sent me the recipe:
CHOCOLATE CAKE
6 oz Doves self raising gluten/wheat free flour
2 oz cocoa
1 heaped tsp baking powder (contains rice flour)
4 oz caster sugar
1 heaped dessertspoon black treacle
5 fl oz sunflower oil
5 fl oz soya milk
2 large/ 3 medium eggs
Just mix it all well with an electric beater. Cook at gas 3, 160C, 325F, 45 mins.
@marttha@tandem02@creativeamateur It was indeeed very nice and has given me the idea of substituting sunflower oil for butter/marge in some of my cake recipes - better for lowering cholesterol too.
