The Red House.... by quietpurplehaze

The Red House....

.....processed to black and white for this fortnight's b&w architecture theme.

This was the home of William Morris and his family in Bexleyheath from 1860-65 and was designed by Philip Webb.
Super in black and white I love the wishing well I want one.

@ray_milsted

I was just a bit disappointed at the lack of furniture inside and found out from the guide that Morris and his friend took some of it to a house they subsequently rented.

@quietpurplehaze If we do I will take you up on that Hazel. I think there is a saying here though "Never give an Aussie your address or you will never get rid of them", ha ha.

It`s a beautiful house (and a great pic. of it) No problem. I`m a bit disappointed that William Morris lived in here. Not his style in my opinion.
You capture of it and the processing are beautiful.

@pyrrhula

Mmm that's interesting - I don't know how to comment about his style! Perhaps it was more the style of his architect........
