In contrast to yesterday’s post of a survivor of a predator attack, this guy (yes, probably another male) still has both of the swallowtails’ characteristic “tails” intact.
I feel fortunate that this is one of the most common butterflies to visit our plants, because I think they’re quite stunning and I’m still amazed at how the stripes on the body and the stripes on the wings line up.
