i guess i've succumbed to the 'friday agitation' and i just felt so tired and stressed. at lunch i thought i'd indulge myself in something nice and was looking at clothes and shoes; however, i didn't feel any real interest in them. so i thought i should have a pick-me-upper and my favourite pick-me-upper is sushi. at the fast food court where i get my sushi and sashimi, they have the best melt-in-your-mouth salmon. i could easily eat three times what you see here but that would've been too much rice. i had miso soup with this and for dessert, bubble tea of course, to get the wasabi's taste off my palate!
I've never had "raw" salmon sushi....just the vegetable ones and crab meat. But this looks very tempting and such a beautiful display. And isn't that what food is all about...tempting the "eye" first?
@olivetreeann - thank you, ann. one really has to be adventurous to like to eat sushi. the first time i tried sushi, i did it because i thought if i could eat a real indian curry then i could eat sushi. no looking back since then. oooh, now i have a taste for curry. maybe i'll make some fish curry on the weekend, if i feel energetic.
