the wild bunch by summerfield

the wild bunch

or my lame attempt at panning shot.

finally, although still lame, but a decent panning shot. before we left, i watched a tutorial on panning and instead of learning anything, i was actually laughing at the tutorial because of the person who was supposed to run for the photographer. that's why of the 8 races, i was lucky to have been able to get a more or less decent panning shot. well, the plus is i got a photo of the underside of a large airplane. the track is near the international airport.

too bad "seabiscuit" was not on the list of the movie challenge so i'm calling this 'the wild bunch'.

my 'seven' photo is in my main album: http://365project.org/summerfield/365/2012-07-15

thank you for your kind views and comments; i sincerely appreciate them.
I'm not sure about the technique, but that's awesome! Haha, and your details made me laugh, especially the airplane.

This is a fabulous panning ... it's exactly how it should be. You caught the riders standing perfectly and wearing the bright colors. The horses legs are moving as they should. Beautiful action capture, girl. Love this!

@karenann - quite happy with it, but not totally. i need more practice. i get keyed up when the horses were coming up. eight races and i couldn't stay calm. i know i could do better than this but for now, this would do. :-) thank you, karenann.
