onions (and garlic) à la renoir by summerfield

onions (and garlic) à la renoir

i've just finished cooking elbow mac and ground beef for partner (yes, at this early hour!) so i thought i'd shoot what's left of the onions. how do you make ugly onions photogenic? process them to look like a painting, particularly à la renoir. hmmmm... there's an idea, maybe i can make an o'keeffe out of an onion!

drab and gray day today in toronto. i probably will mosey on down to the allan gardens to see what they have there this time of the year. i'm guessing poinsettia but maybe the orchids are blooming.

thank you, ladies and gentlemen, for your kind views and comments; know that they are truly appreciated, and i shall try to catch up with your albums right about now!
This is great .. Makes my eyes tear

You're such an artist that you could make an o'keefe out of anything! Love this comp and the colors!! And I'm one of those people who thinks that onions are really beautiful. Especially the red ones!! Such a beautiful deep, wine red. We have very chilly, cloudy weather here ... but I'd go out if I had a camera. Which I don't! :( Have fun, girlfriend!
