rise and shine by summerfield

rise and shine

the grounds of most gardens in the neighbourhood are covered wit this little purple flowers (i think they're called periwinkle; i stand corrected). they really look attractive with their deep green leaves. this one i found on a raised garden. the owner came out and asked if could give him a copy of whatever it was i was shooting. i asked for his e-mail but he said he doesn't "know of such shit". all he wanted was a printed picture. so i said sure, i get free prints anyway.

first day of may and we are embarking on a new challenge. it's called "a merry month of may flowers". here's the link if you are so inclined as to join us http://365project.org/discuss/themes-competitions/17652/a-merry-month-of-may-flowers

i would like to dedicate this posting to one of our good friends camille @catsmeowb and hope you continue to recover, camille.

Beautiful capture of the flower, and the little bug just above it too :) I'm sure the owner will like his print.

Some call it Periwinkle; my mom always called it Myrtle. No matter what it is one of those lovely signs of Spring!
