this is part of the yearly display of tulips around parliament hill in ottawa. it was a sunny day but with the fierce strong wind it was really cold. cold as in i had to wear ear muffs and mitts, vest and thick coat, which i had the foresight to bring. and because of that cold, there was not a lot of people in the town squares even though partner and i came rather late this morning.
sally @salza says she loves tulips so this post is for her.
and better late than never, happy mother's day to all my friends who are mothers and grandmothers, stepmothers and godmothers.
Wow this is an incredible sight. Absolutely beautiful and of course there is a connection between the tulips and the assistance the Canadian Government offered The Netherlands during World War II. I will have to show this to my father-in-law who is from Holland. He will appreciate this
This is so beautiful, I just love it. Big fav!! I will consider this a birthday present as my birthday is this week! Purple is also one of my favourite colours, so you've really hit the nail on the head with this one. I will see tulips growing like this at some point in my life (on my bucket list!).
Thank you so much for thinking of me whilst you were freezing.
