we sort of got lost this afternoon looking for our hotel. of course, the directions given didn't mention that venetian boulevard where the holiday inn is situated is the continuation of the more popular and considered main route exmouth road. duh!
waiting for the lights to change, i saw this tree to the right side of the road. i fretted that it was on the other side of the wire fencing which was a bitch because then the textures of the tree trunk, which was what attracted me to the scene (apart from the lighting on the leaves), would not show as well. however, when i uploaded it on the laptop, the unfocused but defined direction of the wire fencing actually lent an interesting texture to the whole shot and even highlighted the shape and textures of the tree trunk.
last shot for the first week of the book club exercises.
That fence adds alot! I am not doing too hot with the book club challenge, but maybe I can grab onto the train as it is pulling out if the station. If not, I can always delay my trip! Haha
The fencing certainly doesn't detract from the shot. Isn't it wonderful to see how easily one adapts to a situation and make the best out of what we have!
It's almost like you applied an effect to the shot with the diamond pattern the fence creates. So sad they had to lop off those branches. Poor tree looks half dead.
