"Rebecca" was a classic Hitchcock film which won the 1940 best picture academy award. its stars, lawrence olivier, joan fontaine and judith anderson were all nominated for acting awards. it is the only film that did not win any awards for acting, directing or writing despite winning best picture.
"Rebecca" is an enduring literary classic novel which was written by Daphne du Maurier, an english author. the book is best remembered for its opening line "Last night, I dreamed I went to Manderley again". it is one of the best opening lines of a book or novel.

Great two-fer! My mom loved Daphne du Maurier. I still have her copy of Frenchman's Creek. I remember reading The Bishop's Mantle too- but I've never read Rebecca. Nicely done!!
just saw this, my sister came to visit this weekend and fixed all the issues that Adobe has been working on since 2/16 and has not been able to figure out - so now i can do photography again. yeah. this is soooooooooo incredible, Vikki. know it is late, but fav anyways.
