the rainbow bridge by summerfield

the rainbow bridge

to appreciate the posting in my main album today http://365project.org/summerfield/365-still/2015-02-25 and the postings i referred to, here's a shot of the rainbow bridge with the river basin completely frozen and the water movement underneath it is manifested in the fissures of the frozen surface.

it was a beautiful day in niagara falls today and thankful for the natural frozen sculptures in the falls that tourists still flocked; the locals, wary of the cold spell, still welcome the unusual income the 'accidental' tourists are bringing in an otherwise dead season.

i didn't go the the bridge this time to shoot both falls as it was almost sundown and the ladies didn't bring their passports with them.

the next niagara falls meet up awaits!
we walked across this bridge in August ... boy what a difference !!!

Very difficult to imagine this is the same place! Beautiful in the bright light of day! Pondering that meet up!

Wow. What a wonderful capture. I'm sure this is not a common occurrence.

Well this certainly looks different from the conditions when I visited this past August and sat on that bridge on my Harley waiting for well over an hour to get through immigration. The heat was stifling!

This falls into the "dumb questions" category, but I have to ask. Does anyone ever try to walk across?

@francoise - all the time and they all would end up in jail or with a police record especially if they're crossing to the u.s. which is worse. they also could slip and fall and that cold current is unforgiving.
