@jocasta and i are once again paired off for the get-pushed challenge. she suggested we revisit our last challenges, she to do a @northy photo and i do another ant's view photo.
this afternoon at the office, i had a craving for cake. the young associate lawyer whose office is right next to my boss said she had the same craving for cake. so we went to longo's to get perhaps a slice of a cake. when we got to the store, there were two whole carrot cakes that looked really sumptuous. then we both agreed that we need a reason to get a whole carrot cake. i asked when her birthday was and she said january. she asked mine and i got caught that i just celebrated my birthday. shoot!
so she asked the baker to put a happy birthday thing on the cake and she paid for it and carried it back to the office. we asked some of the assistants and lawyers to partake. we finished half of the cake that was packed with carrot, nuts and raisins and the cream was so light i know it's bad for my hips and my vena cava.
so there was adam (that's the name of the ant. yes, adam the ant.) prowling on the table, eyes concentrated on the carrot cake sitting dead centre on the table. he crawled, crawled fast before the cake went back in the box... just go past that paper plate and you're home free....darn!
what happened? i took the cake and placed it back inside its box. :-P well, adam, try the leftover bits on the paper plate, why don't you?
So sweet a story, deserves a slice of cake! I too had carrot cake yesterday, when I got back from the shop the cream had melted so I popped the thing into the freezer for about 10 (felt like 40) minutes and it was wonderfully naughty. There's nothing nicer than a nutty carrot cake! Yours looks delicious, even if it is hidden in the depths and you cannot see the minute details! I think I will have to hunt some down today, I need to go out for groceries later.
The narrative and the image making me very hungry for carrot cake right now! That little ant had high hopes to be able to devour the rest of that cake! You probably saved his life by putting it away!

So how come I have to tell you my birthday and you don't tell me yours? Well, there will just be an un-birthday celebration in Sept. For both of us! Lovely cake. Now I want a piece. Well, brownies will have to do.
