two weeks ago, one of my former writing friends, found me on facebook and sent me a private message saying she has got a few copies left of our anthology and she would like to give a dozen to me. she's the only one who still gets to sell those books at her website. her message came at the most opportune time as i had wanted some copies to give to friends. we met up today and she gave me ten copies. unbeknownst to us, she had a couple hundred copies printed which was contrary to what the group had then agreed to, that after the first 500 copies were sold, that was it. i didn't mind her doing a second print, she didn't change anything at all.
we both found it funny that she remembered the dress i wore today was the same dress i wore in 2000 when we had our book launch. as i didn't get any copy of the photos taken during that book launch, i thought i'd take a photo of me recreating the book signing we held back then.
for the five plus two's "signs" theme this week, this is my interpretation of "signs". :-P

So you all got together and published a book? And sold 500 copies? Wow. I don't hope to sell any of mine - will have to give them away as too shy to ask for money! This is a lovely shot and here you are signing a book for me!
@maggiemae - thank you, maggiemae. not really an exciting book, as all 7 writers wrote in different genre. you should be able to sell your book, in fact, you should sell it to your family. they'll be intrigued what you have written and that's motivation for them to pay for it. i'll buy your book.
I love the mood you have created with this image! It's a fascinating story and I'm so excited to say I know a published author! Even if it is just virtually so far!
@salza - hahaha! i know my relatives would just want me to die a painful death knowing i am writing about the tribe's dirty secrets! thank you, sally.
@grammyn - don't get too excited. there are only 2 stories of mine in that book. one a murder story (in first person) and another one that is quite sappy! nothing to get excited about either. thank you, though, for your encouragement and support. :-)
@jocasta - hahaha! see my comment to katy. thank you, jo.
