also-run for the 52-week challenge of messy portrait. as i said methinks that challenge is open for interpretation. i set up the living room so it would be messy and did self portraits. then i tinkered with this in my pse11 then brought it in ribbet. converted it to black and white and used the brush to mess with the colours back in (i had my eyes closed) then applied daguerrotype framing and played with the sliders until i could bear it no longer.
so, this makes it a three-fer - for the messy portrait segment of the 52-week challenge and with all the crap i did to this photo, you can bet it's my entry for the etsooi self-portrait challenge. also for the six-word story challenge.
and speaking of etsooi, happy birthday to mary beth daley @espyetta who was the original etsooi-er!
I hadn't noticed the shoes until I read @linnypinny 's comment. As I was reading your description of the process I was glad to see that you entered it in the etsooi challenge. ( happy birthday @ espyetta!!). It is a terrific photo for all the challenges.
Deary me- that is a mess of processing there! I think the only problem I can see with a "messy" portrait is that you have to clean it up afterwards (unless you live that way all the time which I know you don't!).
