does anyone remember that scene from superman 1 when lois lane fell down the niagara river onto the falls and suddenly superman was there in a jiffy to catch her? i still remember my little boy's and the other neighbourhood children's cheering at the scene! yes, i brought a contingent of 10 children to the cinema to watch that movie.
but of course there's no more superman. and the rainbow had been quite elusive for me as this is the first time i've captured a rainbow on the falls. this was actually a full arch, the other end touching the bridal veil falls on the american side. but the horseshoe falls is quite visible at the lip or overhang which is a rare sight. i wish i had a wider lens to have captured the whole shape with the rainbow but either this or no rainbow.
i've not been to niagara falls in over a year then suddenly two visits this month. there's no time for anything else, as i hopped on a train, took the shuttle to the falls, then back and on to the train once again. who needs superman?
for the 52-week challenge. this week we are looking at waterscapes and this is my waterscape. nice, yes?
Very pretty! I am overdue to meet you there- what I thought was going to be a wide-open summer has become bogged down with a lot of stuff. Oh well- that's life! I'll keep trying. Beautiful shot!
