this is the coloured version of my post in the main album which had to be in black and white because i am doing black and white for the whole month of july.
this is the display window for louis vuitton bags at the hudson's bay department store, a mid- to high-end (read: much much more expensive than walmart) department store in downtown toronto. balls made to look like the planets and their satellites hanging against a black backdrop simulating the outer space, with a LV bag smack right in the middle. i don't know what exactly the message is, but it could be that LV must be sold in the outer space, too! not!
in any case, you can see an old building reflected on the glass windows as well as a more modern building behind. if your eyes are really that good, you can make out the reflection of the traffic and some passersby.
for one night stand #11, the bill for today is "reflection". i moseyed on down to the city hall to shoot a reflection of lights on the fountain but guess what - the fountain was drained of water to accommodate some summer exhibits and whatnots.
this is also for the f-word challenge, the f word is frippery, meaning excessive ornamentation. a bag as the centre of the universe? it's not only frippery but excessive belief in themselves! (i should examine my wardrobe to see if i have any name brand stuff :-) nope! nothing.)
